Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Families trust us with information about their children, and we take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have — in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
The short version
- We collect only what we need to help you and your child.
- We never sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- Information about your child comes from you, with your consent.
- Our website uses no cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time — just email us.
1. Who we are
Kids Ground (UEN 202605073N) is a Singapore child-development partner for children aged 3–12. In this policy, "Kids Ground", "we" and "us" mean Kids Ground, and "you" means a parent, guardian or anyone else who shares personal data with us.
This policy covers our website, kidsground.com.sg, the free Child Development Quick Check, our enquiry and registration forms, and the services we provide.
2. What we collect
When you take the Child Development Quick Check
- Your email address.
- Your child's first name (optional) and age.
- Your answers to the questions, and the six-area profile they produce.
- Your consent choice.
When you contact us or fill in one of our forms
- Your name and contact details, such as your email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Information you choose to share about your child, their development and what you're looking for.
- If you're a therapist or an enrichment or workshop provider, your professional details.
When your child takes part in our services
- Session notes, observations, development profiles and reports.
- Session video recordings, where you've agreed to them (see section 5).
When you pay us
- Payment records such as your name, the amount and the date — for example, of a PayNow transfer. We don't collect card details on our website.
When you visit our website
- We don't use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically keeps basic technical logs — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the site secure and running.
3. Your child's information
Most of what we know about a child comes from their parent or guardian, and we collect it with the parent's or guardian's consent. When you give us information about a child, you're confirming that you're their parent or legal guardian, or that you're otherwise authorised to share it.
We don't knowingly collect personal data directly from children, and we ask that children don't send us their details themselves. We treat information about a child's development with particular care: we share it only with the people who need it to support your child, and only for that purpose.
4. How we use it
We use personal data only for purposes you would reasonably expect, which we explain here or when we collect it:
- To show you your Quick Check results and email you a copy.
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up about the services you asked about, such as a Starting Point session or the Discovery Programme.
- To plan, deliver and review sessions, therapy and programmes for your child, and to prepare their development profile and reports.
- To recommend suitable enrichment or support, and to arrange sessions with the practitioner or provider who delivers them.
- To manage bookings, payments and our accounts, and to meet our legal, regulatory and tax obligations.
- To improve our services — using anonymised or combined information wherever we can.
We'll only send you marketing messages, such as newsletters or promotions, if you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time. We don't send marketing messages to Singapore phone numbers listed on the Do Not Call Registry unless you've given us clear consent.
5. Session recordings and photos
A child can respond quite differently at different moments in a session, so with your consent we may video-record sessions. This lets our therapists review them accurately and understand your child's starting point in a given skill.
- Recordings are viewed only by our in-house therapists, and only on a need-to-know basis.
- We never publish recordings, or share them outside Kids Ground, without your separate, explicit consent.
- We keep recordings only as long as they're needed for review, and then delete them.
- You can decline recording, or withdraw your consent at any time — just tell us.
We will never use photos or videos of your child in our marketing without your separate written consent.
7. Storage outside Singapore
Some of our service providers, such as Google and our website host, may store or process data on servers outside Singapore. When that happens, we take appropriate steps — such as choosing reputable providers with strong security and contractual safeguards — so that your data is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
8. How we protect it
We limit access to personal data to the people who need it, keep our accounts and devices secured, and serve our website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We don't keep more data than we need.
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach happens that is likely to cause significant harm, we'll notify the people affected and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), as the law requires.
9. How long we keep it
- Quick Check results and enquiries: until you ask us to delete them, or 24 months after our last contact with you — whichever comes first.
- Client records (session notes, profiles and reports): for as long as we're supporting your child, and afterwards only as long as our professional, legal or regulatory obligations require.
- Session recordings: only as long as they're needed for review, then deleted.
- Financial records: for 5 years, as required for tax purposes in Singapore.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
10. Your choices and rights
Under the PDPA, you can:
- Ask for access to the personal data we hold about you or your child, and how it has been used or shared in the past year.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Withdraw your consent to us collecting, using or sharing your data. We'll explain what that means first — for example, we may not be able to continue a service without certain information.
- Ask us to delete your data where we no longer need to keep it.
To make a request, email enquiry.kidsground@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We'll respond as soon as reasonably possible, and generally within 30 days. For access requests we may charge a reasonable fee, and we'll always tell you beforehand.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date at the top, and if the changes are significant we'll let you know — for example on our website or by email.
